Helloz!!!! :3 My name is Carlee and I'm a convention photographer! I've been doing photography for about 3 years now and I really enjoy it. My scene involves all of the art world. ;) I love drawing, painting, music, and of course taking pictures! I've been attending anime conventions since I was 14 years old and have never stopped loving them. Every year I go back with a new cosplay to try and take home big titles. With the amount of cosplay contests I've won I'm actually supposed to list myself as a professional cosplayer. :p I don't consider myself one though because I still feel like there is much to learn about the wonderful world of cosplay. :3
The nickname of Axel comes from the character I'm best known for cosplaying, which of course is Axel from Kingdom Hearts. ;) I'm addicted to video games and anything that can be classified as nerdy. >_< That pretty much sums up my personality and my hobbies. ;) |

Greetings. Having been a fan of anime and manga since I was a very young lad, I would eventually enter the world of conventions and cosplay. As a convention reporter, I will provide you, the readers, with accurate and enjoyable articles about conventions that will cover as many aspects of these events as possible. I have attended and have made plans to attend various conventions in both Northern and Southern California, so expect reports on a wide range of these events. Outside of this, I am a student at the University of California in Los Angeles (UCLA). As someone who believes that maintaining a healthy lifestyle is a virtue, my hobbies outside of cosplay and anything else related to anime and manga include running and weight-lifting. If you wish to see more of my cosplay and photography work, please check out my Facebook page.

Hey, all!
Freight reporting for duty! I've been a long time attendee of the Anime Expo and have spent over two decades going to different conventions all over California! I've been added as a convention reporter and hope to bring you a different perspective since I'm well experienced and well-aged. I'm going to be looking at things not just as a geek, but as a family man and someone who's kids are looking to get further into this hobby. I've been collecting anime since 1987, and my interest in manga kicked in during 1993. I'm also an avid collector of comic books since 1986. If you have a question you'd like to ask me, I will give you my straight-forward opinion. You can contact me via e-mail. I'm always interested in chatting and sharing ideas. I also often get a block of rooms for whatever convention I'm headed to. Why? Because meeting new people is always the point of a convention, and good people always make the experience more fun! |

Hello everyone! My name is Apple and I am a costumer and model in the "bible belt" of the United States. I'm centered in Oklahoma, but travel out in a huge radius to different conventions across the South Western United States. I construct most of my costumes, and if you ever need help just send me a shout! I also am a convention reporter for Mission Start Podcast and run my own blog "F Yeah Cosplay Problems" on Tumblr. I play video games, read manga, watch anime, obsess over Kate Kane, and do about a million different other things per day that are particularly nerdy. Hey there fellow cosplayers and gamers! My name is Manny, the goofy guy in the shades wearing the kung-fu jacket. I'm 25 and a recent college graduate. Standing next to me is not only Deadmau5, but my close friend Cory, who like the creators of Mission Start Podcast created his own gaming review site called TheOverShield.com. Some of my favorite anime's are Dragon Ball Z, Bleach, and Ao No Exorcist (Blue Exorcist). My favorite manga is hands down Love Hina. This picture was taken at Anime St. Louis in April 2013, which also happened to be my first kon that I went to. I enjoyed it sooo...much, that I felt obligated to share my experiences with others. As one of the reporters for Mission Start Podcast, my goal is to provide in-depth reviews of the conventions I attend-both cosplay and gaming. My coverage will include mostly the Midwest region, specifically within and around the state of Missouri. I'm currently in the process of creating a Youtube channel for Mission Start Podcast called, "That Cosplay Guy" where I'll post the latest video reviews and details of my next project. I look forward to hearing more from our fans as words can't described how stoked I am to work with this awesome team!

Richard (Rikun) Jao here, reporting for duty!
Professionally speaking, I am an alumi of Academy of Art University with a degree in Animation Storyboarding and an all around eager artist. On the sidelines I'm a movie buff, anime and cartoon fan, gamer, comic/manga reader, and more or less the kind of guy that feels at home surrounded by fellow nerds. My previous experience was at Crunchyroll, where I would write promotional articles for their upcoming anime series. I was basically that kid that loved cartoons and comics when I was a kid and gradually evolved into a manga/anime fan during the late 90s. I also loved playing video games, despite never owning a console until the PS2. More than 20 years later (I'm currently 28), my tastes have varied and matured, but my love for all things geeky remained the same. I've been going to conventions like Fanime and AOD since high school and am perfectly capable of bringing to you news of all things geek no matter what side of the Pacific it may come from! If you have any questions you're free to contact me. And if you'd like to see my kind of art, I offer it here as well! Hope you all enjoy! |

Hello, Derrick Tagulao here. You may have known me online as Kamen Rider Tag, or simply as The Hypebot. I'm 31 years old, and I'm the Social Media Expert for MSP.
Professionally, I'm a Heald College alumnus with an AAS in Computer Technology. I'm a former USAF Airman, having been enlisted since 2005 as an Information Manager. I left the USAF in 2012. As one of my nicknames implies, I am a Tokusatsu fan, mostly of the Super Hero Time (Kamen Rider/Super Sentai) variety since 2004 (I can teach some poses if asked). I've also watched my good share of anime since the early 90s, when stuff like Samurai Pizza Cats, Ronin Warriors, Dragon Ball Z and Sailor Moon hit syndication. My favorite anime is Bubblegum Crisis. I'm also part of the fighting game community, having played semi-competitively since 2012. I'm a HUGE gamer, having played a lot of video games since the late 80s and the heyday of the NES, and my favorite franchise is Sonic the Hedgehog. I've been going to conventions since 2009, with my first one being WonderCon, and I've been regularly attending FanimeCon since that same year. Usually if you see me around a con or a gathering, I'll probably be wearing something fighting game-related (and maybe even a Henshin device) and taking selfies with my friends. |
Hello my name is Alex, I am a photographer, anime fan, gamer and occasional cosplayer. I have been attending conventions for over a decade years now and have been getting more into cosplay photography in the last couple of years. While the majority of the pictures I take are of cosplayers at conventions I have also done weddings, modeling and pinup work as well.
You can follow which conventions I'll be attending through my Facebook page. Feel free to say hello if you see me around. |

Hi everyone! I’m Lillian, but EVERYONE calls me JD (long story), and I’m a cosplayer in the SF Bay Area. I’ve been cosplaying for about 4-5 years now, and it is my passion! I love creating costumes and outfits, especially if they’re challenging. I went to my first convention in 2010, and I’ve been obsessed ever since. I try to attend about 4-6 cons a year (they’re like my Disneyland), so I’ll be covering multiple conventions in the Bay Area (wee! like a dream come true). Some other fun facts about me: I’m double majoring in applied mathematics and statistics, I love anything fluffy and cute, I’m obsessed with Star Trek, and I do commissions!!!!

Heya, I'm Niko and I'm Bay Area grown cosplayer! Dwelling in San Francisco, I'm a regular at Kraken Con, Sac Anime, Anime Expo, and more! I've been cosplaying since '09, took a break for a while but jumped straight back into it headfirst! Things I'm all about are Digimon, Steven Universe, and waiting for The World Ends With You sequel.
Alongside cosplay, I'm also a big fashion and makeup enthusiast, I dabble in graphic design, and play in a band (find us @sarchasm on Facebook and Instagram!) I'm an English Education major with a minor in Japanese Language, so putting my two favorite things together-writing and cosplaying- is a dream come true! In case you wanna keep in touch, find me @kasuutan on tumblr, instagram, facebook, and cosplay amino! You can also email me at kasuutan.cosplay@gmail.com! |
Hey everyone! My name is Charmy and I am a cosplayer, dancer, writer, and dog enthusiast from California. Cosplay and traveling has been my passion for about 3 years and I am so excited to travel throughout the nation to different conventions and sharing my experiences with all of you! I am a sucker for powerful females and female villains in nerdy media as well as survival horror video games, but my all time most favorite thing in the world is idol animes and exploring new, catchy songs from them.
At conventions, I love to cosplay and participate in cosplay masquerades as well as attending panels and watching fashion shows. I tend to try to control myself around artist alleys and exhibit halls all because I am an impulse buyer and anime figures are unfortunately my victims! Other facts about me is that I love colorful knee high socks and am addicted to BBQ potato chips! |
|
Hi everyone! I'm Sahria, but a lot of people know me by my Cosplay name SweetPandaCoCo! I am a Cosplayer on the East Coast, and have been cosplaying for about 3-4 years now. You could say I'm a Cosplay Fanatic, because I love everything that deals with Cosplay. I'm also a YouTuber and Blogger, and have been doing that for almost over a year now. Fun fact about me is that I love anime and K-drama(Korean Drama). My favorite anime genre would have to be the Idol type. Whereas, my favorite K-drama genre is historical! I could literally spend my time watching both for hours~! |

Hey guys! My name is Matt, but I also go by Rabit and yes that is misspelled on purpose. If you run into me sometime, feel free to ask why. I have been going to Anime and Comic conventions for over 10 years now. I have always loved taking photos of the cosplayers and sights you see at these events, but only recently got into doing it with a professional camera. I mainly do Concert Photography, and love the experience of photographing something as it unfolds in front of me. I will be reporting on conventions in Southern California. |
What’s up guys! My name is Johnny Angel Murguia. I’m a 2015 graduate from CSU East Bay with a degree in Business Administration and I’m a convention photographer located up here in the Norcal area! I’ve been attending conventions for over a decade starting back in my highschool years beginning with Fanime 2007 and I have been doing photography since 2009. I’m a huge fan of anime/manga for years (my personal favorite anime being Fist of the North Star and Hajime no Ippo) and a gamer at heart since childhood (the NES starting my gaming addiction lol), but it’s these hobbies that allowed me to meet many great people in my life and were the foundations that led me to pursuit my passion for photography and traveling!
I’m glad to be part of a team that wants to provide the best convention coverage and I aim to produce high quality photos alongside with my fellow con photographers in this group! Feel free to say hi to me if you see me at a convention and let’s strike up a conversation as well while we’re at it! |
