Happy ending 2nd time around?
According to sources MyAnimeList.net, Degenki G's magazine says that "Angel Beats!" will release a DVD and Blu-Ray extra while releasing volume 7. Titled "Another Epilogue." This will basically be a different version of when Otonashi meets up with Kanade after they reincarnate in the last episode. (Oops, did I spoil it for the people who didn't watch the show??? ><; ) In any case, be on the lookout for the new ending sometime in the future...

You heard this right. There will be an official anime for the Touhou Project coming soon. Unlike the unofficial OVA that came out sometime ago, that was never completed. This anime is in collaboration with Anime Tencho and will be shown at Animate Ichioshi Bishojo Anime Matsuri on November 10th. No actual launch date of the anime is yet known, but this date is the supposed one. ZUN verify that's he isn't involved with the actual production with this, and that this is considered a secondary creation via twitter.

Seems lik lately more and more schools are accepting video games and anime into their course studies. To add to the trend in London artist Helen McCarthy will teach a class on "Manga - History, Context and Culture" at the Adult learning facility at the school's London branch. In this 20 week class the manga that will be discussed and studied will be the works of Ippei Okamoto, GeGeGe no Kitarō creator Shigeru Mizuki, kamishibai, and  Osamu Tezuka. If you are wondering how can this artist have the right stuff to teach a class such as this, this is what he did in the past. Author of numerous English-language books about anime and manga, including the 1993 Anime: A Beginner's Guide to Japanese Animation, Manga Cross-Stitch: Make Your Own Graphic Art Needlework, and the 2009 Harvey award-winning The Art of Osamu Tezuka: God of Manga. McCarthy also co-authored The Anime Encyclopedia with Jonathan Clements

Wish I had that class here at my college. Imagine your homework, go home and read up on your manga and tell me what you thought about it.

farewell old friend
This was a long time coming, but former giant in video game and movie rentals have filed for bankruptcy. Sad to see it go out this way, but if there is anything we learned from this economy is that everyone is affected in some shape or form. What made things hard for Blockbuster to keep up with the times is companies like Netflix and Gamefly offering cheap rentals and online streaming movies for their products while Blockbuster didn't. Not to make matters worse the one dollar red box kiosks in super markets are becoming more popular also cutting into Blockbuster. Seems the might has fallen hard, but not all of Blockbusters are closing down. Blockbusters outside the states are safe, but the ones here in the states are not in the best of shape.

As most of us wait eagerly for the release of the next Batman game details are slowly coming out about the game as we inch close and closer to its release date. Batman: Arkham City will be five times larger then what Arkham Asylum was in the 1st game. With new gadgets for Batman one of which the grapping hook will enable you to go high in the air for you to glide over the city like the badass Batman that you are. As some of you may or may not know Catwoman is in the game as Batman's ally and possibly for CO-OP.  Vehicles and other such goodies are still being kept under wraps. Batman: Arkham City is set to release on the xbox 360 and PS3.

Welcome back, president Chika Oguie
Guess who's back in the manga scene? After thier series ended in the manga and then the anime adaptoin for two seasons of the series Genshiken has made it back to manga , but now they plan on continuing the story with president of the club, Ogiue last we saw. The basic story of the entire series is college students going to anime club while dealing with issues of their own and reaching their dreams jobs in life. Yea, it's more of a slice of life anime but for college students, which I can relate to. Anyways they have announced when the manga is coming out or that they might have an anime adaption like there was for the past Genshiken manga.

Looks like we are back for another game dood
This past weekend was full of announcements and some news out there is just still Tokyo Game Show. So to add on to the multiple stories and announcements a new Disgaea game was announced for the PS3 by the Nippon Ichi Software.  The Disgaea games take place in a fictional universe called the Netherworld and are known for their uncommon RPG elements, such as complex game play, extremely high maximum stats and humorous dialogue. If you were to compare it to anything it most resembles final fantasy tactics. Disgaea has been a name that not many people seem to recognize recently since its last game was for the PS3 that came out  in 2008, but for many fans they are pleased with this announcement. Disgaea 4 has no release date nor details about the game at this past Tokyo Game Show, but from the looks of it seems like its more Disgaea that we all know and loved.

As we edge closer and closer to the release of Marvel vs Capcom 3 we are getting more and more character announcements for the game. First two that were announced was X-23 and Tron Bonne from the previous Marvel vs Capcom game. I am not surprised that Tron Bonne made it into the game, but for some of us who don't know who the hell is X-23 was, I did little research on her. Basically shes a female version of Wolverine except with only two claws on each hand and one claw on each foot that sticks out. Yep pretty much though i advise you guys to read up on the comic of her, pretty damn good.
The other two that were announced later on in the show was Spider-Man and....wait for it......Wesker from Resident Evil 5. Spider-Man, again I am not surprised hes in this game since it was kinda hinted in the background stages and that hes been in the previous game, but Wesker? I guess it makes sense, because Chris Redfield is in the game but its just a bit odd having him in the game. Then again this is a game where they have Amaterasu from Okami so pretty much anything goes for this game so far.
And one more for good measure check out their other trailer that was continuing from E3.

Valkyria Chronicles series I believe was a overlooked game especially when it first came out for the Ps3, and when it made its sequel to the PSP we were all bit confused. Well at this year's Tokyo Game Show they are keeping with the PSP and announced the third iteration of the series on the PSP. No game footage was shown, but a brief anime trailer on the game. The game plans to be release in Japan early next year on the 27th of January.  No news yet to when it will release here in the states.
