Assassins Creed Embers is a CGI animated film to follow the events of the game Revelations. Embers will be an expansion  to the life of Ezio, who is the main character of the last two AC games, and Ubisoft announced that it will be available the same day as Revelations hits stores on November 15th.

UbiWorkshop  developed the animated short.

The short will be included  with the Assassins Creed Revelations Signature Edition at GameStop , which you need to pre-order, and for download on PSN and Xbox Live.

For all you fighting game fans, EVO has just started today in a full weekend of nothing but combos, counters, supers, and the feeling of a boxing match live from Las Vegas. All this weekend there will be tournaments for big cash prizes for some of the fighting games like, Super Street Fighter 4, Marvel vs. Capcom 3, Mortal Kombat, Blazeblue, and many others. Due to Nintendo reporting a lower 1st quarter profit than expected due to the lack of sales of the 3DS, they decided to lower the price. It current sale price of $249 will drop to $169 on August 12th 2011, in hope that this will increase sales.

Now, for those of you have already bought the system at its current price, you’ll get some compensation. If you’ve logged into Nintendo Eshop before August 12th, Nintendo will be giving you 10 free NES downloads and 10 free game boy advance downloads. The downloads will be available starting September 1st.

Seems like the news keeps coming for fighting games out of this convention, Namco Bandai released a new trailer showing off new and old characters for its beloved fighting game series SoulCalibar V. With an interview with gamespot they explained many of the core as well as new mechanics in the game. Showing off new moves that a character can perform and more of the back story for the characters shown.  A few characters shown that are returning are Ivy, Siegfried, and Mitsurugi with old and new moves while new comers to the fight game are Natsu, Patroklos, and Zwei. Patroklos and Zwei are Sophita children and in the trailer it sounds like Sophitia will make a return to this game. In the battle system it seems like now at any given time each character has a critical move which can perform with 2 full bars at the corner of the screen. These critical moves are pretty much like supers like in Super Street Fighter 4. Your only given 2 bars and you can use one for a more powered up attack, like the EX move in Street Fighter, or wait till you get 2 full to use your critical move. They are still debating if they want to keep the armor breaking in the game and still want fan support to what they want in the game and what they don't want that was annoying in the last game. SoulCalibur V will be out next year for PS3 and Xbox 360. No word for any exclusive characters as of right now.

Well the last but not least panel to end to day for video games is the Assassins Creed: Revelations panel held by Ubisoft. They showed a new trailer , which you can see below,  as well as answered questions from the audience detailing the fourth Assassins Creed game in the series. What they revealed at this panel is Ezio will now have two kids, a son and a daughter, also telling everyone they will be very important in the game to Ezio. They advised everyone to watch Embers, An Assassins Creed short movie, after beating Assassins Creed: Revelations.

The brotherhood you had in the last game will make its way back into Revelations. They will be customizable and you will be able to level up your party much like in the AC: Brotherhood. However,  this time  you have to recruit your members in a different style than you did in the previous game.

The story in the fourth game will have closure to Altair's story, as well as tie up loose ends for Ezio too. They said they are not completely shutting down the stories of Ezio,  but will still have it a bit open if they wish to expand on it in the future.

Also discussed were possibly of upgrading your parkour moves in the game.

The folks working on Guild Wars 2 had a panel today at Comic Con explaining the battle and social aspects of Guild Wars 2. What Guild Wars 2 is shaping up to be is to be as opposite as WoW as it possibly can while still retaining its own identity in the video game space with MMO's. One of features is the Social aspect of GW2. Say someone kills your pray or enemy, that person will not get the XP for killing it but people on his friends list will. Its a game that focuses on teamwork more then playing solo. One of the big upgrades for players in GW2 is everyone will have some sort of healing ability so you won't have to worry about getting a cleric or a healer type of player in your party, now you can do it yourself! The combat can be tuned and changed to your play style on how you want to play the game. Also the events that happen in the world will effect how players treat it. Say a bunch of monsters take over your town and you and your buddies left it instead of saving the town. The monsters don't go away so they will run the town for thier own benefits and not did it effect you but everyone in the MMO too who happens to cross that town.

The armor classes have been simplifier to three classes: light, medium, and heavy. You can mix and match your armor to your like and have an ability to either drop the armor and pick up a new one or upgrade your own to a cool look you want to stay with your character. Also another feature they are adding in is that any dungeon you go into will have a level cap of what kind of level the dungeon you have. Even if your a level 80 warrior going into a level 20 dungeon the game will adjust your level to the same level of the dungeon so it would feel like your going in and destroying everything in one swing.

Of course you have the customization options they have in the game including the type fur you want on your character. There will be a wide variety of races to choose from your typical elves to whatever species the GW guys are planning to put into the game. They also noted that there will be some sort of point system where if you made a mistake you want to take your point back and put it in another part of the skill tree then you can. More details on that later when the game comes closer to release. The last bit of news is that when you go aggro on someone the creature you attack will focus on the closest character to it. Anyone can be the tank in that sense.

They announce there is no beta sign ups at this time. Guild Wars 2 is for the PC and supposedly going to come out this year.

The Marvel video games panel was rather quick to get from game to game due to the fact they had so much to talk about. The games they talked about were X-Men Destiny, Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, Spider-Man: Edge of time, Super Hero Squad Online, Marvel Universe, and Marvel Pinball. Dates were announced for some of the games showed during the panel as X-Men Destiny will be out September 27th while Spider-Man: Edge of time will be out October 4th. They showed off the new trailer for X-Men Destiny which revealed Emma Frost among other X-Men characters in the game. 

" The game is set in San Francisco, as the current X-Men comics are. Many X-Men are gone, Professor X is dead. The Purifiers are on a crusade to wipe out mutants. It's a crazy, disjointed world for the X-Men. The new mutants introduced have to deal with the X-Men's issues and more."

Also Jean Gray  is dead, so apparently in this video game when major characters die they stay dead throughout the entire game. There is the option to swap and get new and old costumes for your character. You can even put your male character in a Emma Frost outfit. Also confirmed in the game are: Quicksilver, Cyclops, Emma Frost, Iceman, Toad, Caliban, urge, Pixie, Forge and Northstar. I am sure they didn't say the entire roster but expect a huge amount of characters in this game.X-Men Destiny is being developed by Silicon Knights and is for all platforms.

During the panel as they were talking about Marvel Pinball games they have announced a new Marvel Pinball game. Introducing Ghost Rider pinball called, Marvel Pinball: Vengeance and Virtue. Same formula as the past Marvel Pinball games only this time with Ghost Rider in it. It will be available to download on PSN and XBLA this winter.

Next they discussed Spider-Man: Edge of Time game coming out on September 27th. They showed off a new trailer of the Amazing Spider-Man facing off against AntiVenom. If you played Shattered Dimensions you can carry over your costumes to Spider-Man: Edge of Time. Also new costumes were shown off that you can get in Spider-Man: Edge of time. Spider-Man 2099 will be voiced by Daniel Barnes while The Amazing Spider-Man will be voiced by Josh Keaton. We will find out more when this game comes out in late September.

Super Hero Squad:Comic Combat was discussed in today's panel. In Super Hero Squad you can draw out the action scenes and how you want the story to end. THQ is bundling with a tablet to use for the game on top of the many characters you can use for each panel. You also have the option to draw your own artwork. A cast of characters were shown but today Marvel showed off a new character for this game, and it was Squirrel Girl! No word on when this game will be available yet.

Then it was on to Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 news and yet again it was more costumes. More from the Marvel side for some of the Marvel characters including but did say that each character will have 6 different costumes.

"The "Keeping It Current" collection is updates to Magneto with his Age of X costume, Hulk in his Age of X gear, and Captain America is his. Deadpool and Doctor Doom get their outfits from the Identity Wars story. Spidey gets his new Marcos Martin Spider Armor plus his FF look. Doom also in his FF look."

So yea more costumes for all the Marvel fans and I am sure there be new costumes for the Capcom side as well.

When you thought there were no games or any good games coming to the 3DS, today Marvel announced a bunch of new games coming to the 3DS which include: Thor, Spider-Man: Edge of Time, Captain America: Super Soldier and Marvel Pinbal, and Super Hero Squad: Infinity Gauntle. As you can see Marvel is not holding back on anything today and just letting things fly with each game and major announcement. Also they announced new games for Mobile platforms which include, : Captain America: Sentinel of Liberty, Marvel Kapow! , and finally X-Men Arcade. Now you can use Colossus.  power during class with a loud, HUAAAAAAA! 

Lastly and not least was the big news on the Marvel Universe MMO. Marvel Universe is a free to play game and from the looks of things not going to make out this year. In this MMO you play as one of the characters in this Universe and was revealed today was Deadpool, Captain America, Iron Man, Hulk, Spider-Man, NOVA and Squirrel Girl. and lots more characters to come to play as. Which is odd way of doing the MMO since we might be seeing 100's of Deadpools running around.

After the big announcements made by Capcom this past week it would seem the Marvel vs. Capcom 3 panel would just be as good or something special for the fans. Well that was a bit of a disappointment. In the panel no new characters were announced, what was shown was a new trailer and the new costumes you can buy for some of the characters depending where you pre order Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 at. As Shown above  the costumes you can get with the game will depend where you pre order the game from either Amazon, Best Buy, or Gamestop. Some of the costumes dates back to the old days of fighting games even having Cyber Akuma as a possible alternate costume is ridiculous! There also showed a slew of new costumes during the panel at Comic Con so when we get the images we update you here. The costumes range from classic X-men costumes for Phoenix to Spider man's new costume from the recent future foundation series that's going on right now.Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 will come November 15th of this year. Also note that the same day Halo Anniversary will also come out.

With 343 Studios leading the pack with the most watched videos today, check out the trailers you missed out on!

The Resident Evil franchise has been going 15 years strong and still plan to keep that going with Resident Evil Revelations, Resident Evil Operation Raccoon City, Resident Evil 4 HD, and Resident Evil Code Veronica HD. They began the panel with the 15 year anniversary video showing 15 years of Resident Evil. After that they began talking about Resident Evil 4 and Veronica HD remakes. Both games will be available in September while Resident Evil 4 HD will be available to download on September 20th while Veronica will come a week later. They showed off a new trailer of Resident Evil Revelations for the Nintendo 3DS. The trailers Showed off the story in the game of Jill Valentine looking for Chris in a cruise ship while fending off zombies. There were some key characters shown that will make an impact to the story with the trailer ending saying more to come this October. Also Resident Evil Operation Raccoon City was shown, but it was nothing new as it was the same trailer from E3 they showed everyone else. During the Q and A a fan asked will there be a Resident Evil 6?

One of the Capcom crew responded, "We're skipping 6 and going 7. Let's see, it's a game? There isn't such a title yet. It will be a resident evil game. Our PR people aren't happy already."

Looks like Capcom has their hands busy with the Resident Evil franchise as well as the other games they are working on. We keep an eye out for these games and keep you posted.
